Employment Specialist
Are you passionate about helping youth (ages 15–29) overcome barriers and find meaningful employment? Join our team as an Employment Specialist and make a difference in your community!
In this dynamic role, you'll provide one-on-one employment counselling, lead engaging workshops, connect with employers, and support youth in reaching their career goals. You'll need strong communication, case management, and outreach skills, along with a background in social services, employment counselling, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized employment assessments and job coaching
- Plan and facilitate employment-focused workshops
- Build strong employer partnerships for job development
- Support job placements, on-the-job training, and job retention
- Achieve performance targets and maintain accurate documentation
Must Have
- Diploma/Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or Employment Counselling r
- Proven experience working with diverse job seekers
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license required
